Energy procurement

Fixed gives budget certainty but does not benefit when prices fall; variable moves with the market; flexible buys your volume in parts; structured combines the two. Which form fits follows from your consumption and risk profile, which we work through with you and record in your mandate.

There is no fixed best moment; anyone who promises one is speculating. Your mandate sets out in advance at which levels and at which moments we buy, and we spread procurement across the term. That way you never depend on a single day.

Yes, in every European market where you are active, with local market knowledge. You keep one point of contact and one mandate; we handle execution per country.

Our approach: Procurement

Curious about our approach to procurement?

We are happy to show how joint procurement, timing and a mandate can give you more grip on costs and risks.

Independence and costs

How we are compensated varies by service. For every specific service, we agree in advance on how PowerQ is paid. You always pay for platform, mandate, and ESG services directly to us, never through a supplier. A full explanation per service and market can be found on our 'How we earn' page.

You pay a fixed fee agreed in advance, matched to your portfolio, with no surprises afterwards. The gain rarely lies in one sharp price, but in spread procurement, timing and avoiding expensive mistakes. In a first conversation we make a realistic estimate based on your invoices.

The energy market

Supply and demand, weather, geopolitics and renewable generation can reinforce one another within a short time. That is why we steer on a mandate agreed in advance rather than on the mood of the day: procurement spread out, not dependent on a single moment.

They arise when supply is temporarily high, for example from sun and wind. If you have flexible consumption or feed-in, we set up your contract so that you use those moments to your advantage.

Sustainability

Yes, with the energy component: we link your procurement and consumption data to your targets and supply the substantiation (source data and method) for your ESG and CSRD reporting. The full report and the auditor's statement remain yours; we make sure the energy figures are correct and traceable.

A PPA is a long-term contract for renewable energy directly from a producer, giving price certainty provided the term, volume and counterparty are right. Own generation can pay off, but is not a goal in itself. We calculate both soberly alongside your procurement strategy.

Getting started and platform

We begin with a conversation and an analysis of your invoices, contracts and consumption: in essence your recent invoices, current contracts and an overview of your sites and connections. That leads to a strategy and a mandate; after that we execute and report on every step.

No unnecessary obligations: the arrangements match the term of your contracts. If you already have an adviser, we take over existing contracts and agreements smoothly, without interruption.

It is our platform where your portfolio, procurement moments, consumption and reporting substantiation come together, transparent and traceable. It is part of the service, not a separate product, and where possible we connect it to your own systems.
