Contracting

You sign once. We watch over everything that follows.

One master agreement with PowerQ, with local supplier agreements per market beneath it. That way you keep a single line of responsibility, while every contract complies with national legislation and grid conditions. We negotiate on the basis of proven standards such as EFET, record pass-through arrangements down to the cost component, and manage amendments throughout the term. The result: contracts your legal counsel need not lose sleep over, and the basis on which invoice validation becomes genuinely possible.

EFET framework

One European contract standard as the basis for all your supply contracts.

Every negotiation that starts from zero costs time and introduces risk. That is why we contract on the basis of the EFET standard: a legally proven European framework in which only the annexes per market and product are negotiated, not the entire foundation each time.

When relevant

With activities in several countries, structured products or PPAs, or when your legal department has no capacity for energy contracts in every market.

What it delivers

One master agreement with which you sign once and keep a single line of responsibility, with supply contracts that rest on the same foundation everywhere.

How we do this

  • Master agreement between you and PowerQ

  • EFET annexes per market and per product

  • Legal review together with your own counsel

  • Management of amendments throughout the term

National templates

Local supplier agreements that align with national legislation.

Every market has its own grid operators, taxes and supply conditions. Beneath the master agreement we use current contract templates per country, so that local regulation is met without you having to hire legal capacity in every market.

When relevant

When expanding into new countries, with acquisitions that carry existing contracts, or when local conditions differ from what you are used to.

What it delivers

Contracts that are legally and fiscally correct locally, with consistent terms across the whole portfolio, no exceptions that only become visible in a dispute.

How we do this

  • Current contract templates per European market

  • National legislation and grid conditions incorporated

  • Alignment with local suppliers

  • Consistent terms across the whole portfolio

Curious how a single master agreement would simplify your contract management?

Loek Hulsbergen Founder & Managing Director

45 minutes. No proposal. We look together at the portfolio you already have (invoices, contracts, site overview) and tell you what coordinated procurement under a single mandate would change about your rate, your risk profile and your CSRD evidence.

Pass-through arrangements

Clearly recorded which costs are passed through, and on what terms.

Grid costs, taxes, GOs, imbalance: a large part of your energy invoice consists of passed-through costs. We record per component whether it is passed through or fixed, at what rate and with what indexation, so that the invoice is never a surprise.

When relevant

With invoices that deviate from the contract, recurring disputes about passed-through costs, or changing taxes and grid tariffs.

What it delivers

A contract in which every cost item is traceable: the basis on which the invoice validation in phase 04 can check every line.

How we do this

  • Inventory of all passed-through cost components

  • Rates, indexations and caps recorded

  • Control mechanism per invoicing period

  • Annual recalibration when regulation changes

Frequently asked questions

EFET stands for European Federation of Energy Traders. The EFET contract is the European standard for energy supply: a legally proven framework used by suppliers and buyers across Europe. Because the basis is fixed, only the market-specific annexes need to be negotiated, which saves time, cost and legal risk.

There is a local supplier agreement per market, because grid management, taxes and supply conditions differ from country to country. But you sign one master agreement with PowerQ, and so keep one point of contact and one line of responsibility; we manage the local contracts beneath it.

We include them in the portfolio scan and respect them until the end of their term, unless ending them earlier is demonstrably more advantageous. On extension or renewal we bring them step by step under the master framework, so that the transition happens without any interruption of supply.

These are costs the supplier passes on one to one, such as grid costs, energy tax and the cost of Guarantees of Origin. In the contract we record per component what is passed through and on what terms, so that every invoice line can be checked.
