Frequently asked questions

Location-based converts your consumption using the average emission factor of the grid you are connected to. Market-based uses the contracts you have actually signed, such as green contracts and Guarantees of Origin. CSRD requires both figures, and you must be able to substantiate the market-based one with evidence.

Because purchasing choices directly determine your market-based figure, we plan decarbonisation and procurement together, which is exactly why reporting is not an afterthought with us.

An annual GO only says that somewhere during the year as much green power was generated as you consumed. Hourly matching shows that your consumption was covered by green power at the moment itself. That evidence is increasingly becoming the norm in European regulation and in audits; anyone preparing for it now will have nothing to put right later.
